  • Okinawa, Japan
  • Sardinia, Italy
  • Nicoya, Costa Rica
  • Loma Linda, California

So what are the secrets to living a long and healthy life in these regions? Let’s take a closer look.

Ikaria, Greece

Ikaria is a small island in Greece where people have an average life expectancy of 90 years. The people of Ikaria follow a Mediterranean diet that is rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and olive oil. They also stay physically active by walking, gardening, and doing other daily tasks. Another interesting aspect of life in Ikaria is their relaxed and social lifestyle. They prioritize spending time with family and friends, taking naps, and enjoying life.

Okinawa, Japan
